Children's Programs

Don't forget that Children's Programs at the OCPL will resume the week of September 5th. The Library will be closed Monday September 5th in observance of Labor Day. Story Times will resume Tuesday. Story Time hours will be Monday at 7:00 PM, Tuesday at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market will resume Thursday September 8th at 11:00 AM. Toddler Time will resume Friday September 9th at 10:30 AM. If you have any questions, please call the Ohio County Public Library at (304)232-0244.

End of Summer Break

Just a reminder that the Children's Department will be observing a break from August 15-September 6. There will be no Children's Department Programs during this time. Story Times will resume on Tuesday September 6. Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market will resume on September 8. Toddler Time will resume on September 9.

Summer Reading Finale-Pool Party!

CONGRATULATIONS! As of 12:30 today we have had 163 children complete their goal of reading for 8 hours this summer! That works out to 1,304 hours or 54.3 days or 78,240 minutes! No matter how you look at it-that is A LOT of reading by some very special kids!
Tonight is our pool party at Wheeling Park to celebrate the accomplishments of all of our fantastic readers. If you have not picked up your ticket, please let me know and I will bring it to the pool tonight. Hope to see you there.

Summer Reading Program Finale Program

Don't forget that the Summer Reading Finale Party will be held on Wednesday August 10 at 6:00 PM at the Wheeling Park Pool. Children who are registered for the program AND have completed 8 hours of reading may stop in the library to receive their ticket to the party. Family members do not need a ticket. Tickets may be picked up by 2:00 PM on Wednesday August 10.

Cancelation

Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market has been canceled for Thursday August 4. The "Journey to West Virginia" program scheduled for Thursday August 4 at 2:00 has been postponed until Thursday August 11 at 2:00 PM. Sorry for the inconvenience.
