Journey to Asia and WILD WORLD OF ANIMALS

The library will be closed on Sunday June 19th in observance of Father's Day and Monday June 20th in observance of West Virginia Day. We will have two special programs next week in addition to our regular Story Times, Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market and Toddler Time. On Thursday at 2:00 PM we will "Journey to Asia". We will hear stories, make a craft, share a snack and more while we visit the countries of India, South Korea, and the Philippines. On Friday at 1:00 Pm we will get to see a fantastic animal show by Wild World of Animals. This group last visited the library in August of 2009 and were a huge success. Please join us if you can.

Journey to Africa

Thursday June 16th at 2:00 PM we will "Journey to Africa" with our very special guest, Michelle Titus-Glover. We will learn about Ghana and Senegal, hear a few stories, make a game of mancala and a passport, and share a snack. All ages are welcome to attend. Please bring an empty egg carton if possible. Summer Reading Kick-Off Program "Home Fried Tales" with Lyn Ford Monday June 13th 6:00 PM


Lyn Ford will present a hodgepodge of tales from many places and with many faces. Her stories are interactive, informative, and fun for all ages. Lyn's programs include participatory activities for the whole audience. Listeners experience "call and response", "rhythm and rhyme", and "humor and heart" from the oral traditions of a fourth generation story-artist.
