Weekly Event Schedule

Programs will begin next week for our Fall Session at the library. Story Times will have a Fairy Tale theme for the week. Story Times are Monday at 7:00 PM, Tuesday at 10:00 AM, Wednesday at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market will start it's ABC Fun theme with the letter "A".Kid's Fun Day @ Centre Market is Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Upper Market of Wheeling's Historic Centre Market. Toddler Time is held on Friday at 10:30 AM. We use the Mother Goose on the Loose program. For more information, please call (304) 232-0244.

A big thanks to everyone for their participation in our Make a Splash-Read! Summer Reading Program. We had 303 children register for the program. 163 children completed the program, giving us a 54% completion rate! Thanks to our readers for working so hard, parents for bringing the kids to the library to get books and attend programs, and our performers, who provided some great programs this summer.
If you completed the program, you may stop in anytime before the end of September to select a free book and pick up your reading certificate.

Finale Friday!

Today is the last day of the Summer Reading Program. Congratulations to everyone for ALL of their hard work. A big round of applause for the kids who read for 8 or more hours this summer. Also, thank you to all of the parents who faithfully drove their children to the library weekly to get books and to attend programs. We had over 50% of our registrants complete the 8 hour reading goal. I'm very proud of all of you!
Today, we will be showing "Diary of a Wimpy Kid-The Movie" at noon in the auditorium. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Tonight at 6:00 is the finale party at Wheeling Park. If you did not pick up your ticket PLEASE call me at the library at (304)232-0244 before 2PM.

Summer Reading Finale Party!

Don't forget the SRP Finale Party will be held this Friday, August 13, from 6-8PM at the pool at Wheeling Park. Children who have COMPLETED 8 hours of reading may pick up their ticket to attend by this Wednesday, August 11.
